Tugan doesn't talk about his clan, the Rockelg, except to say he's no longer accepted. The truth is that he was ousted for allowing an orc flee from his clan when it was discovered the orc had killed his fellow guard, leaping in front of an axe swing to defend the orc. The deeper truth is that he killed the guard, Kruleg, himself after Kruleg assaulted the orc. The orc had been granted passage within the clan as a tradesman, but Kruleg's racist hatred of orcs ran deep.
In the ensuing scuffle, Tugan tried only to defend the orc, cracking Kruleg's skull with an unfortunately parried thrust. Tugan didn't defend himself when questioned about the incident, preferring to become clanless over admitting Kruleg's transgressions.
He now seeks glory to use as leverage to convince another clan to welcome him into theirs.
